Discussing identity and belonging with friends and strangers in public spaces. Open and honest recording of how each individual feels. All names are hidden by the request of the speakers.
Moroccan Colombian,
we met back in 2009, when i was in MTL, Canada for my undergrad. We lost touch after i graduated and moved back to the middle east. but when i moved here, to my surprise, she as well found herself in London starting a new job.
Irish Spanish
a complete stranger at a pub. the conversation was longer but the place was too crouded this is the only part that was salvageable.

i met her at a friends place who had invited me for a dinner party.
Syrian Saudi American
although we share the same last name, with the exact same spelling, we actually have no relation. she is of Syrian decent possibly Kurdish.
we met in Bahrain around 6 years ago, she left to the States for her Masters, now working in London.
