I really loved the building, I think by itself it is a sight to see. I'm glad I got the chance to showcase next to other MA departments, As such exhibitions are one of the few times we get to really interact with them and get to understand their perspective and how they approached their work. as well, Having different disciplines next to each other was an enhancement to the showcasing.

For this exhibition I continued my exploration of the 3D but this time, rather than quick dry clay, I ventured into ceramics. As a painter, the most decisions I make when it comes to placement is how far off do I want the painting from the ground. So with ceramics is a whole different approach, as now not only do i need to think of placement in the space, but with correlation to my other pieces and on what surface. With that in mind, and artists like Nancy Selvin and Catherine White i really wanted to create something that plays with 2D and 3D. It gave me the idea to further explore one specific character from my fruit salad series and recreate it through different mediums: drawing, print and watercolor on paper, acrylic paint on canvas and of course ceramic sculpture. I wanted to see growth and difference in my work as the medium changed. I also wanted to see how people reacted to the different mediums.

I did wish we had a public PV, since this is considered our final show, it would have been nice to have had the chance to invite people from outside of uni. But regardless, i think it went well and i enjoyed the experience.
