Apples

Adam and Eve, Discovering gravity, Snow white, Iphone, peanut butter, an apple a day keeps the doctor away…

In just a year, I moved to a new country that I've only visited once before, with no place to stay and 3 suitcases. A lot has happened, and now a lot is happening as I try to figure out the next chapter is in life, while all at the same time repacking and having to potentially move back to the middle east.  Since my heart can't be still right now, I try to find refuge in painting as I really wish I could just take a moment and turn it into another year of stillness..

Here's a collection of my watercolor apples,

Painting each was a moment of escape, taking a breath, a coping mechanism.

I don't like to carry too much with me, so I'd take a few pieces of paper.

I once ran out, but my craving for another apple was still strong, so i continued on tree leafs.

I usually save my apples, but this time I didn't take it with me, I left it behind. Something, with letting go, gave me a sense of relief.
